You like working with your hands and like crafts? Then take a training in welding!

The labor market prospects are excellent, there is a huge range of applications and the health and safety is of high importance. And just as diverse as the area of operation is the training in the joining technology. As "International Welder" you can qualify in the process MMA, MAG, TIG or gas. Even if you want to continue your education after that, you have numerous options.

Funding by the employment agency, job center or "education voucher" is possible under certain conditions.

Tungsten Arc Welding

In these areas you can work as a TIG welder:

Metal and container-u. equipment construction piping, engineering, pharmaceutical and food industries, offshore industry, fittings engineering, chemical plants, tooling, aircraft.

Metal active gas welding

In these areas you can work as MAG welder:

Shipbuilding, steel construction, machine construction, metal, container and equipment, rail vehicles, power plants, fittings engineering, track construction.

Manual metal arc welding

In these areas you can work as manual metal arc welder:

Shipbuilding, steel construction, machine construction, metal, container and equipment construction, pipelines, power plants, metallurgy, fittings engineering, offshore industry, construction industry, railway construction.

Oxy-Fuel welding

In these areas you can work as oxy-fuel welder:

Plumbing and heating engineering, construction, petrol stations, power plant construction, wear and corrosion, pipeline, steel mills, shipbuilding.

New and repeated examination

For welding by hand after the procedure G, MMA, MAG, MIG and TIG on steel components (according to DIN EN 287 - 1) or aluminum (DIN EN ISO 9606-2), for example, to:

Tanks, boilers, buildings, bridges, water projects, pipelines, tanks, naval vessels, rail and road vehicles where the competent authority for the application or the client requires certified welders.

The examination covers the skill and the expertise of the welder.

Period of validity:

The welding examination usually has a validity of 2 years, if the client or the responsible welding coordinator confirmed that in writing to the welder's qualification test certificate every 6 months:

a) the welder welds regularly (max. interruption is allowed up to 6 months)
b) the welder performs in the field covered of his welder certification
c) the skill and knowledge of the welder doubted is not doubted

An extension of validity for a further two years is possible only if: the inspector or the inspection are handed corresponding reports on the quality of production welds made by the welder, for example, documents on radiographic, ultrasonic or fracture tests.
